My hobby's are woodworking, home improvement  projects, spend time with and family, Playing drums, photography  and stop motion videos.

Hi

I'm Greg and am going to start a bathroom vanity..Because of this project I am going to try the jig.......I have tried dovetails with some good results, but My Bride wants shaker style and I think this will work for a good sturdie frame and doors........I will do the draws with dove tail joints unless this jointery works and turns out to be as stronge and as accurate....Point me in the right direction please.........Any helpful hints WELCOME......

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hello I am from Calgary, Alberta new to woodworking , we jusy bought  the Kreg jig master and we built a nice worshop table
Hi , I am from Calgary Alberta and new to woodworking we just bought the Kreg Jigs Master and built a worshop table

Hey  Everyone!

My name is Nathan and I'm from NW Iowa. I've done some rough woodworking in the past and worked some construction part time doing mostly framing and the like. Never done much as far as finish work or furniture but am really excited to get started. Lots of projects planned which I'll list later.

I just got my Kreg Jig Master Kit for Christmas and am starting to set up a completely new workshop in my basement. I'm finally moving out of the garage; too cold, damp and not enough room for my shop and vehicles. I was lucky enough to have a spare room (18' X 20') in the basement that I can dedicate solely to my shop. I will have a 14' Miter saw table with the precision guide/stop system, swing out table saw with flip-up out feed table, another 12' of bench top for the Kreg Jig station, and 10' of wall space dedicated to wood storage, etc...The basement will get my by until spring when I'm tearing down a small building on a cement slab and building a dedicated workshop in its place.

I also just got done designing a face framing table like Kreg sells for $3k but mine will be made of a wood base and a 4' X 6' melamine top and will be hinged to lay flat also for a work/face framing/clamping station to save room. I plan on using 3 of the clamp tracks, one on the side and 2 across the bottom. I would have used the full 4' X 8' top but don't really need it that large and would have taken up just enough room to partially block the doorway. I will post pics and plans as soon as I get it done and make sure the design works as I have planned (and hoped!). Oh and the best part is that the whole thing including wood base, top, track, hinges and casters will cost about $300!

Ok, my project list:

Finish work shop

Card Playing table with felt top and wood inlays for hunting cabin

Reface old kitchen cabinets with new face frames and doors/drawers

Window seat and bookshelves for library

bathroom vanity and storage

Computer armoire

Closet organization system

Gun Cabinets and display cases

and the list goes on..........

I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that is on this site and has posted plans/pics/and info. I've read almost everything and looked at all the plans and pics and have got some great ideas and great info. I will return the favor as I get to working with my Kreg Jig and complete my projects.

Thanks again!

Nathan

Hi, I'm Tim and live in a Small Alabama Town, I have worked for the same Police Department for 22 years, For the last two I have served as the School Resource Officer, a position that I love. I'm kind of a jack leg carpenter and a jack of all trades. And for some time wanted to get more into wood working, so I asked Santa for a Kreg jig and I got it so can't wait to get started.

Welcome Tim,

Nothing better than a school resource office. Our high school of 2000 kids keeps our officer really busy.

Wow Nathan.  I sure hope you've retired from whatever it was that you did as a career.  There CAN'T enough hours in the day for you to do those projects AND work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with them and please do post pictures.

Steve,

Nope, still working full time and a full time father of 2! Lucky enough to have a job and a wife that are flexible. Not to mention, most of the projects are for her so she doesn't mind if I spend extra time working on them! Look for new pictures coming ASAP! Also, I'll include some photos of a hunting cabin that I helped construct with some hunting buddies. The pictures were taken this winter so the views aren't the greatest with no leaves on the trees and the river frozen but it gives some perspective of the views from the cabin. Look for more photos inside and out of the cabin on my profile.

Thanks!

Nathan

my name is bob...I am an old phart who has just started this hobby about two months ago.  I ave done some "carpentry" that really would not qualify as wood working.  I received the Kregg jig about two weeks ago and have just started trying it on "practice" pieces.  I managed to set the wood size and not the drill depth and wondered why my screw pierced the wood!! as well as the jig!!  So you can see i need all the "Hep" i can get...(Lived in west texas for 40 years)

Hi everybody! My name is Martin, and use the handle Keene Cowboy. Why, moved here to Ohio in 2002 and started raising  horses because of my daughter was interested in them. Soon learned that this is only a passing fad, as they get older the boys take over. I am then stuck with taking care of them. Still have some, but have turned my attention to woodworking after 15 years. I live in the part of Ohio that have a large number of Amish furniture shops, which has renewed my interest.

As I said after 15 years dusted off the old equipment and started again building little projects. Would like to advance to more difficult projects.

Welcome Bob and fellow TEXAN. I live in the greater Dallas area, have for 62 years. After retiring, I picked up woodworking where I left off many years ago. It will take me longer these days as every thing cost so much more. Love my Kreg also and after weeks seem to have it down better.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
