Hello all, new guy here.  Name is John and I live on a small horse farm in the sandhills of North Carolina.  Just ordered my 1st Kreg jig, JR with some accessories.  Building shop/plywood cabinets for the barn and garage and just don't feel like doing all the router work dados and rabbets, clamping and glueing so I thought I would try pocket holes and start with the Kreg JR jig.  I hope to learn a lot from this forum.
Hello, I am Paul Butler and I live in Paris, Texas and have been working with wood off and on for over 30 years.  I just ordered the new Kreg Jig and ran across this forum and saw it to be very interesting.  I have browsed around around and saw a lot of interesting things and ideas.  I plan on getting back into woodwork and eventually retiring from work and doing this full time.  Something I love to do.  I have the tools and some of the knowledge, and look forward to making a living at this.  Hopefully I don't get on everyones nerves because I love to ask questions.  I would really love to hook up with a contractor and build all of his cabinets for him.  That has been a dream of mine for years and now I am ready to make it happen.  Hopefully here I can meet some people and get lots of ideas of woodworking projects.  I am very excited to be here and looking forward to spending a lot of time here also.
Hello Angie, glad to meet you here.  I am also new to this forum and very excited.  I can say you will have a very busy schedule.  Good luck and hopefully we can stay in touch.

http://angidotes.blogspot.com/ ,   Hi, my name's Angie B, I'm just beginning, I call myself a Kinderbuilder, since everything needs to be explained to me like I'm a 5 year old. I actually was looking to buy a computer room desk, looked at Pottery Barn, looked at their prices, and after picking myself up off of the floor, found Knockoffwood.com. I kept seeing Kreg Jig everywhere on the site, and for my bday asked for one 2 wks ago, and here I am.

Between wiving, (1 husband), mothering (2 kids, 1 husband, lol), dog whispering (5 dogs), taxiing, cooking, cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning, koi ing, crocheting, I've decided to add in woodworking.

I'm an ER nurse by trade, if you're having a heart attack...I can tell you what to do, if you need a square joint...don't hold your breath!

I live in Southern Ca and would like to make friends that know what I'm talking about when I describe my projects

I want to build something similar to this to hold a stereographiscope.  Did you use some type of crown molding for the box?

Hi, I'm Wayne, a carpenter from Chicago. I took up carpentry back in 2007 and found that I love it. However, it seems the unions were not keen on adding 49 year olds to their rosters, so just about everything I learned after the course is largely self-taught. As of now, I do residential maintenance and remodelling. I eventually would like to work my way into woodworking and the Kreg jig I purchased is one of the many steps I have taken toward that goal. I hope to learn more from the wonderful craftsmen I have seen on this site. All of you are my teachers! Thank you for welcoming me aboard.

Hello, My name is Gary and I live in East TX. I have been doing woodwork off and on over the years and have decided it is time to get back into it. I have not done much pocket hole joinery, always found it to difficult. Only recently purchased the Kreg Jig and ready to get started with it.
I never herd of a Kreg Jig till a coworker showed me showed me a Mini Kreg jig and asked me to make a holder for it. He liked the job I did.  I promply went out and bought a K3 master Kit.
My name is Roger Gotthardt. I have been woodworking for 30 years or more.  On my latest project I bought the Kreg system and I love it.  After many years of putting wood together with glue and waiting for it to dry has always been a pain.  When you see the photos of the Kids Dresser I just built it was fast and easy.

Hi Michael, I'm Mike from the USA. I'm also new to the Kreg jig. My first project was a stained glass window display case for my church, and it required fastening melamine coated MDF to oak. I had no problem at all.
Sounds great Mike . I'd love to see those pictures.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
