When setting the stop collar on the drill bit, how do you allow for the differences in 3/4" plywood thicknesses?
The ply I have checks out to be .703" thick and the screw tips just stick out enough to be a problem.
I have tried to not over-tighten but, to keep from poking out, the screws are not tight enough to seat in the pocket.
Does everyone just play around with the depth setting until it works, or is there a way to set it consistantly?

Check you coller dept of the drill.. If you are trying to keep the scews from coming through. set all the applicale areas to 3/4" and then back the drill back from the 3/4" point on the scale. This works well for my use on 19/32 or 18mm ply..
