Kreg Owners' Community

The Kreg web site leads me to believe that while the new HD jig is available, it only comes with 5 screws, and additional screws are not currently available. Does this make sense, especially with a new product? If I am mistaken, please set me straight. Thanks.

Hello Tom!

Additional screws are available and come in 30-count and 125-count containers. You can check out the prices at Kreg's site and also do a search for them and perhaps find them cheaper, but shipping charges will drive the price up.

This is a quote from thier site:

"Available in one size, head style, and thread – quantities of 30 and 125."

Thanks, James, but maybe I'm missing something. When I go to www.kregtool.com and search for the HD screws, there is a message which says: "This item is temporarily unavailable. Please check back." Also, the one review posted brings up the same complaint as mine, how can you purchase the HD jig and not the screws that are specific to that tool?

Lowes in my area none have them . I do not have a need for them at this time. Employe's at Lowes don't know anything about them.

I seen them on woodcrafts site under new products,#14 2 1/2",30 and 125 count

Coastal Tool has both 30-count and 125-count, but 125-count is only back-ordered till July 31. Looks like only one shipping option and it is $8.50.

Coastal Tool

Maybe thats when it will be available, on July 31, the 125-count. It looks like the jig itself is also back-ordered till July 31.

''Back-order'' ???---

that's what most of the retailers tell you.

I've found some, that haven't placed the orders---YET!

Many businesses wait 'til they get enough inquiries and customer requests, before ordering and stocking the goods.

I ordered the HD and 125 count screw set from Amazon [through Viking tools] and received it yesterday

Good luck on employees in many big box stores knowing anything about Kreg tools... I think they are getting a little better but I usually have to find stuff in those stores by myself, along with my gps.

because of some 'deal' that Kreg has in effect with all of the local retailers including big box stores I find the best supply of Kreg tools & supplies @ Woodcraft here in Eugene, Oregon at least.  Happy Shopping to yall.  Forget Lowes & Home Depot. Here Lowes has4-5 Kreg tools & HD even less.  If  you are in my area try Maverick Hardware & Jerry's Home Centers

Larry,

Thanks for the heads-up, but

some of us live too far away from ''Eugene, Oregon '',

so we'll just have to shop in our local community.

I've found Rockler to offer a larger offering of Kreg products.

What do you think is the ''...some 'deal' that Kreg has in effect...'' with the retailers?
