I'm looking for some recommendations on dust collection systems.  I usually do most cutting/sanding outside but it's too cold for that now.  Any thoughts?

I store other things in my shop area..Harley, Mowers, etc... So like you I cann't stand all the dust on my things..Not to mention not being able to sand while I have a "wet paint" project going too.  I went with the Grizzley collector and the sanding table...Am very happy with my choose.
Do you know if the coupons work at the harbor freight stores . There is a harbor freight where my daughter lives. I found a coupon in the last copy of wood magazine, I just bought a couple weeks ago.

There's a Harbor Freight close to me.  I'll have to check out the dust collector.  I like that you have a dedicated space for woodworking.  Thanks for the pictures of the shop.

Here's a printable coupon for the HF Dust Collector good until end of year.

Coupons are good at all HF stores also to in case you dont no you can print anything from HF internet store and it is always cheaper than the store they will honor that printout,Thats your ChristmAS GIFT from me

Ouch---I spent $100 more than that and it looks exactly the same.....Mine has a 1.5 HP and dims the lights when it is turned on---not sure I could handle the 2 HP.....I did print the coups and will buy a couple of the other tools...Thanks for the heads up...

Picked one up today at the local HF store, $166 with a 1yr warranty.
good show!!!!!
I went to the HF store yesterday and checked it out.  Looks almost the same as mine, color and all, the base of mine is alittle heavier built, but other than that I see know difference.  Not $100 worth anyway..  I am sure you will like it---they are noisy though...

never seen a cyclone before until i got on this site and was wondering what is it exactly and whats the purpose?
Wat it is is a primary collector,It keeps all heavy chips and saw dust in the garbage can and can be used with any tool by opening or closing a blast gate or switch hose from machines all time like I do. All heavy stuff falls in can and dust  goes to dust collector and micron filter. You will notice one hose runs fromcan to dust  collector that stays  on an dthe other one collects from machine so it can be switched t various machinery.hope this helps youbag
