I think some people may be under a misconception, you do not require a really powerful drill to make pocket holes. A good 1.5ah battery in a reasonable quality drill is all you need . I have drilled 80 pocket holes with a single fully charged battery. Regards fixing pocket hole screws into pockets a good clamp and your drill on low torque setting is all you need. Why do we seem obsessed with everything being super powerful ,when most of the time it is not necessary.
For the HD Kreg Jig, you have to remember it is a 1/2" bit. I discovered Corded was the way to go. I liked the T-Handled C-Man drill, but it was a bit under powered. I have used my Milwaukee Hammer drill cordless, but the bit tip broke. Kreg replaced it and suggested the corded drill for the higher RPM. Dan
