thanks for everyone's input regarding the trio. it looks cool but i guess it has its limitations. i was hoping to eliminate buying multiple tools to do the job well but in the long run i would rather have multiple tools (router, drum sander or drill press, and jig saw) to do the job well than to have one tool that does the job okay.

I have seen that thing, but am not sure it is worth $100.00. Certainly it cannot beat a decient router and a good orbital sander, and jig saw. Sure it is cheaper than the three of them combined, but is it better? Can it be mounted on a router table, or handel the same bits that a good router might? And what kind of depth can you get? I'm sure no where close to where a traditional router can. As for the saw aspect, it just doesnt look to have as clean of a cut than you might get from a good jig…

It does seem to do a okay job of sanding, still I like my orbital better. I guess for an ocasional user it might be okay. But for me, I'd rather stick to the tools I have in my garage...... i purchased the Trio (fathers…tag:kregjig.ning.com,2010-08-09:2900167:Comment:505892010-08-09T04:57:18.969ZGeoff Simpsonhttps://kregjig.ning.com/profile/GeoffSimpson
i purchased the Trio (fathers day present to me). I'm not thrilled with it either...for small jobs, i think it'd work fairly well but if you expect to use it like a jigsaw it's a pain. Courtesy of the direction of rotation it tends to "walk". It's a neat little tool, but i wouldn't expect it to be a major player in your shop

Talk to your dentist they dental bits that are 3/16 and most of the time the will give them to you free.
My dentist told me that the bits come in a 4 pk and the only use 1 or 2 with each patient the rest have to be tossed.
(None Avalable) I tryed to remove it but gave up for feer of damage. I do like the guid system however. I feer I am trapped buying bitts from Dremel only. We all know what that means.

Isn't this just a RotoZip with a different handle? That's what I figured it looked like from the ads... (Bosch -who owns Dremel -bought Rotozip about 5 or 6 years ago and put RotoZip under Dremel.)

That would be my guess as to why the Dremel attachments don't work.
