There is a blizzard watch on the East Coast.  Forget about milk and toilet paper - run to your closest wood store and get 2x4's and 1x3's for this Kreg Jig HD snow fort project!

When I was a little kid, I got stuck in a collapsed snow fort.  I always wanted to build something that supported the roof of a snow fort so that it would not collapse.

I did my best to make this design structurally solid.  I have put over 200 lbs of weight on top and it did not shift.  We have used it for snow forts, flower stands, etc.

I did not show all of the pocket joints in the sketchup - you get a rough idea.

Have fun!

200 lbs?  That looks like it could hold 500 lbs!  Nice job and have fun in the snow storm!

Well, to clarify, I couldn't find anyone weighing more than 200 lbs who was willing to jump on it to test it ;-)  Thanks for the comment.

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
