Hello,
My name is Bubba and I live in central North Carolina. At 65, my old deck looks the way I feel sometimes so I have decided (with some local encouragement) to replace the splinters and nails with Trex and screws. Just assembled the Kreg deck jig and his and hers cordless drills are charging so I have time to watch videos of how experienced jig owners completed similar projects.
I'm thinking that the first step for me is to get acquainted with the jig on the steps and risers: Short boards and easier to correct if I did not understand what I thought I understood.
Anyone who has a don’t do that or what a minute, I welcome the advise.
Thanks

Jig works well around this time Kreg usually has specials where they give you 700 free screws to buy the jig got mine at Lowes couple years ago. This is important especially with Trex you need to slope your deck I think its 1/4 inch per foot away from the house. Check with your supplier of Trex the slop other wise it will mildew . Put your joist on 12" centers rather than 16" otherwise you may get bows in time. Only cost a little more to be safe.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
