<p>When working with 1/2" material and the K5 system, you will want to ensure that your drill guide block is set to the 1/2" setting. Then using the setup block, you will want to have the tip of the bit going through the 3/4" labeled hole as this is the size of screw you will be using. Just tighten down your depth collar and you are good to go. Please let us know if you have any other questions that we can assist you with. </p>

<p>Can't you just set the jig height for 1/2 inch, put a U.S. nickel (5 cent coin) on the bottom of the jig, gently insert the drill bit into the bushing hole until the drill bit tip touches the nickel, adjust the depth collar until it touches the top of the jig bushing, and then tighten the depth collar set screw?</p>
