I had to learn the feel of the wood and the screw. you will feel the screw tighten up as you gradually adjust the torque setting and while you watch the two come together.<br/>
Also, using the kreg clamps is very helpful in getting a tight joint too... the butt joint corner clamp is great for your joint, but you want to make sure you do not over tighten the clamp or it can cause the board to break and split especially if it is a thin soft wood.<br/>
