Thanks James.. I have no doubt they are a great company with great tools and customer service. Just venting and frustrated is all and align that with my bad luck with the tools and you have major frustration.

For example I just now TRIED to put on the Micro-Adjuster on my fence and the threaded bushing that is on the fence let go and now I can't use the adjuster... If it didn't happen to me, I'd find my bad luck rather funny...

I just purchased (May 3, 2013) the Rip Cut and I was so anxious to use it tomorrow (Saturday May 4th, 2013) but that won't be happening. I bought the Rip-Cut and aver $300.00 worth of other Kreg items today including Shelf Pin Jib, Bench Clamp set up, Micro Adjuster. Clamp Bar, Precision router Table and other Kreg Items. When I started to put together the Rip-Jig I found that it was missing the Lock Handle, Pointer and the 2 Lock Cams. Very Disappointing to say the least. The Shelf Pin…

The Shelf Pin Jig was missing the Drill that was supposed to come with the package.

Did anyone else have these issues??

I live 2 hours from the place I bought it and there is no where that is closer...

I had one other issue when I bought the precision router fence that I got at a local Woodworking show at a "Show Special" When I got home and checked the web and I found that the "Show Special" was $30.00 more than the regular price of the fence and at that time it was much more expensive. I was so angry at the lack of interest from Kreg I didn't install the fence until January of 2013 and I loved it. Now THIS happens..

This stuff seems so cool and I think it's great but I'm beginning to think that I'm having no luck with Kreg Items... So disappointed.

I called and left a message with Kreg but I'm not expecting any answers from them given my past experience.

Hi Gary - Thanks, tried it out last weekend, it's dead bang on. Here are some new pics. I couldn't figure how to incorporate a t-square exactly so the two clamp blocks have follower dowels on the bottom that ride in the slots and prevent the thing from getting to far out of square. That, and I was very careful to make sure that the tape measures exactly coincide. The right edge of the clamp blocks line up exactly with the right edge of the fence on the bottom.
Ordered one from Elite Tools here in Canada. The setup was easy, I've now switched it between two different saws and the setup was quick and simple. I sawed some shop plywood for a halloween project; the edge wasn't perfect, but the cut was smooth and straight. Had no problems sawing down to 2-3" width, and full length of an 8' board. I have a table saw, but I can see using this for all panel ripping in future.

When it became apparent the rip cut wasn't going to work out for me I got off my duff and made one of my own. I've still got the Kreg but don't know how much I'll be using it. 200 mile trip to return it.

That, and mine only cuts 20½". 24" was the longest piece of 1/2" MDF I had so some got soaked up with the paraphanalia. Bottom has 4 coats of boiled linseed oil and 5 coats of paste wax. Haven't treated the top yet as I still need to installed the tape measure and fix the bobble...…

Haven't treated the top yet as I still need to installed the tape measure and fix the bobble... note to self, never climb cut a router while using an edge guide. Other than that, it's usable as is.

Pluses for the KREG over this one.. Mine only cuts 20½ and is bulkier to store.. also heavier. Pluses of mine over the Kreg... no bobble at the end of cut, the fence extends well ahead of and behind the blade. MDF platform provides a zero clearance kerf for less tear out, Mine allows clamping within 2" of the cut with no clamp interference (purpose of the whole project) Mine also, though larger, doesn't store that badly as it will just hang on a wall somewhere.

Howdy, John... I'm with ya there, don't need a bunch of expensive stuff to do good work. Just look at Roy Underhill, that dude can make a set of kitchen cabinets with an adz and a pile of logs. (Which is irritating to watch, as it seems the wood always knows what he wants and does just what he wants it to). But I will pay for things that make sense... if it is faster, safer, more accurate.
