I forgot to ask: Where is a good place to buy cabinet doors? I am looking for old style with class panels and maybe stained leaded glass. I have heard of places online but have yet to find any that are what I would call reasonable.

Again Thanks

Rick

I'm afraid finding a place to buy cabinet doors with stained leaded glass that is affordable is almost impossible as it is in what is classed as an art.  Your best solution is to begin learning how to do this yourself.  Learning how to do stained glass is not hard just takes practice and patience.  In my area (Oregon) you can get upwards of $200.00 and more in a standard 30 inch x 16 inch stained glass door.  What I do is build my own.  I will often get the old door look by using old window glass from old salvaged windows.  Sometime you can find the type with ripples and waves in the glass, sometimes refered to as "float glass" as well as bubbles and defects that is often what is called "seeded" glass.  You can also find this type glass at companies selling speciality glass for artist and custom window installations.  There is also materials available that allows you to add stick on type lead cane and even the faked stained glass dye and fake lead liquid at art and crafts supplys.  Another possibility is checking into used building materials dealers and also into the local area that teaches stain glass classes as sometimes students will sell their products at a reduced price.

I live near Huntwood cabinets. They sell their "2nds" at their own outlet store. They have an awsome price on cabinet doors. Perhaps you could try contacting any of the local large cabinet shops and see if they have any 2nds.

Reasonable, now that is a 'loaded' word in many ways. The seller needs to make a profit to stay in business, as does the artist, so I am sure that your reasonable is in no way close to theirs. Go with what Jay has shared with you.  Read it 3 or 4 times so you really get what he is saying.  Yes I have a great deal of respect for Jays advice.

Where do you live? Here in our area we have 2 small recycle stores whp deal in arcitecture reuse.  They have fair prices on most of their supplies until you get to items of antique nature & as you might guess the prices shoot up dramatically.  Good luck.  There is one other way to get a great deal, find an old like Victorian house buy th whole thing, disassemble it board buy board, window by door. save all of it in some kind of storage & be the seller. Just a thought Good bye.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
