I would suggest using a frame glued to the bottom of the Boos top. Use contact cement to attach it. When you have to turn the top over to hide the used side remove the frame and clean the old cement off with Toulene. Let it dry off well and wash it with a light bleach/water solution before you put any food on it. Route a couple of finger slots on the ends to aid you in removing the top for cleaning or storage.

I would try laying a sheet of the non skid shelf liner between the old top and the new top. This rubberized and usually keeps anything wood from sliding. Any of the woven shelf or toolbox liner should work. Here is a link!

Hello Angie, Is it possible to modify the grill trolley by attaching a frame that fits around the butcher block ? May be something like a box that is hard wood framed with even a plywood bottom. To aid in lifting the block you could bore a couple holes in the bottom of the box and use a short piece of dowel or even your finger to push the block up and out of the up out of the box. Just an idea I'll throw out there. I do this type thing often when I build cutting boards in cabinets that are inter changable between wood, stone, glass and plastic inserts. It gives a person the flexibility of being not only able to change cutting surfaces but to also clean away any chances of the dreaded e-coli from the often refered to as "the e-coli board"............
Hey Angie,

The only thing that I can think of that you may use is some form of double sided tape, but I can't guarantee that it will work forever, but it should work for what you need, as long as both surfaces are clean. Other than that, I am at a loss. You could always build a butcher block top for a tabletop, I could get you plans for that. I have a few cutting board/butcher blocks on my page.
