Has anyone used one of the Kreg Universal Stand configurations as the base for a miter saw workstation with fold down wings? I scrolled through the pics in the community and all I saw were using a DIY base cabinet. I have an extra Kreg router table stand base that I want to make use of. Thanks

All of my cuts are slightly beveled. I am leaning on saw in one direction to keep it tight because it feels like there is a tiny bit of looseness in the saw sled at the rear. I don't have this problem with the Accu Rip and the same sled. Had to do a lot of sanding repair on a project yesterday. Not happy!!

Obviously for pocket joinery having the wood pieces cut square is critical to having a good joint. This minimizes the likelihood of overtightening screws, as well giving a stronger more attractive joint. Does anyone routinely measure the angle of their table saw blade, using something like a Wixey digital angle gauge? Is it worth the $20-30 to get one?

Hi All

Just got myself a new Metabo mitre saw, kitted it out with a new Freud Pro blade as well as "pimped up" my bench with LED lighting so I can find stuff! I have 22 LED daylight tubes in my fittings in the garage so there is more than enough light but the shadows under the bench get me, so I decided to use all of the samples of LED strips that were given to me by one of our suppliers and fit them to the bench on flat ally bar, the bar dissipates the heat from the strips…

I have 22 LED daylight tubes in my fittings in the garage so there is more than enough light but the shadows under the bench get me, so I decided to use all of the samples of LED strips that were given to me by one of our suppliers and fit them to the bench on flat ally bar, the bar dissipates the heat from the strips and they stay on the smooth surface instead of peeling off wood as they don't stick well to that, a 12V 10A power supply feeds the lights and when the bench is unplugged everything is off. The Metabo came with a Laser as well as an LED lamp, so guess where I got the thought of using all those reels of LEDS I had lying around!

The Metabo is brilliant and the Freud Pro blade cuts Ally, steel and wood (I cut through a nail yesterday, never even knew it) If you want a lifetime blade, the Freud Pro is it, I use my mitre saw for a lot of stuff and my table saw for, well, not so accurate cutting. Looking forward to some more projects now that summer is here, will keep everyone posted
How to use trak and stop kit with a mobile miter saw stand?tag:kregjig.ning.com,2017-02-24:2900167:Topic:8709532017-02-24T18:09:44.886ZBradley Smithhttps://kregjig.ning.com/profile/BradleySmith

I recently purchased the precision band saw fence and mounted it to a 14" Jet Band Saw. My concern is that when I push to fence back toward the saw arm (away from the blade and to my left) when it travels past the edge of the saw table, the fence hangs downward as there is nothing to hold it tight against the rail to prevent this. This particularly annoying when working with a wide piece of stock where I need the extra depth.

Hello Friends,

I am in the market for a bench top band saw and a planer. Nothing industrial. They are for my-side-of-the-garage woodworking shop.

Now, put down that adult beverage and get to it.

Be well,

I recently bought a new table saw and realized that I needed a workstation for it. My wife bought me a small craftsman table saw. That said the fence system is TERRIBLE!!! The saw cuts fine except for the fence. I have looked at YT at videos on the biesmeyer fences. Saw a video at supercool tools.com on a new fence system they have Has anyone seen the video and made a rail system like they show. Trying to figure a way to make a new table system and add one of these rail systems to my existing saw. Any thoughts and plan ideas would be greatly appreciated.
