Recently purchased two 96" tall pantry cabinets that are 23" deep that only came with two adjustable shelves and two fixed, (one at about 55" and one at the very bottom). Shelf holes in the walls are drilled 2" O.C. Like most store-bought cabinets today, the walls appear to be 3/4" particle board. The cabinet opening is 1" narrower than the inside width of the cabinet, so might need to add blocking to the sides.

The lower portion I am working in is 48" tall and I want to add additional shelves, but want them to be pull-out and able to hold at least 75 pounds each. I found some heavy duty slides that will support the weight, but am concerned about the holding limit of the cabinet walls (per shelf and total), type of wood to use as a shelf, hardware size, and how to put this all together.

My wife would prefer these to be adjustable, but with the working load limit, not sure if this is possible... and I have not found any shelf pins that will hold a 75-lb open shelf without it tipping.

I have looked for videos and other sites that can offer advice, but none I have found seem to match my dilemma, as most are being done on cabinets where they can mount on existing shelves or the new uprights are no more than 24". Additionally, I am not finding any guidance on load limitations for the walls and hardware.

Any assistance that anyone can offer will be appreciated.
