Hello - I have a couple of workbenches in my 'shop' and am contemplating putting 2 or 3 pull out bins on the bottom shelves of both. I've not worked with drawer slides before and am looking to make it simple(r). Thinking of making 2 sets of pocket hole brackets out of 4" wide 3/4" plywood to mount under the drawers (similar to pencil drawer brackets). Thinking 4 inches long (the bottom to bolt onto the shelf) and 3 inches high (onto which to attach the slides). Using 26" Promark full…

Anyone ever try this or have any thoughts regarding odds of success/durability? Seems like a simple solution to a complex problem if I haven't overlooked anything. Thanks in advance for your input.

Pocket Hole Angle to plane of entry into lumber.tag:kregjig.ning.com,2018-03-05:2900167:Topic:9464772018-03-05T21:54:42.770ZEamon McElduffhttps://kregjig.ning.com/profile/EamonMcElduff

Hi fellow Pocket Holers,

Please can I have the above angle.

It can be the angle to the plane of entry or to the vertical.

With this information I would be able to develop a bespoke reference table for settings for odd size thicknesses.

Regards

We are building a significant storage cabinet in our wood working shop. It has 66 drawers.

They range from 3", 5", 8", 9", and 11" heights. I am trying to figure out how many pocket holes I need to put these drawers together.

They will hold things like heavy tools, socket sets, nails, screws, etc.

I have read in the forum 2" from edge then every 6" however, for an 9" drawer that would only be two pocket holes. Seems like it would need more. We plan to glue as well as pocket hole.

They will be made from 1/2" plywood. The bottom drawers are 34.5" deep, the tops 19" deep. We plan to use screws on the bottom of the drawer.

What would be optimum spacing for pocket holes for drawers that will hold lots of weight?

Thanks

I wanted to build a cute little side table that I saw in a furniture magazine. I knew it would be perfect in my daughters room.
