Kreg Owners' Community

Hello everyone. I am new to Kreg jigs and in the process of building a very big Project. But my question is I hoe not so hard to get explained.

How do you measure the boards you are working with when the board is bigger than th depth of the Jig?

I have 4 pieces I am working with that are 1.5 by 2.5 inches And the jig only goes to 1 1/38  so how do I get the proper depth of the jig for the longer side to be correct, and what size screw should I use for the second piece which is only 3/4 in. I am drilling on both side of the bigger unit to attach to the smaller one  in two sides

Please of you can help Id really be a happy camper. This Project is ont goingon 2 years to finish and this is ths last bit to be done .

Thanks for all your Help.

The following comments are offered:

1.  Use the HD jig for stock that is 1-1/2" and thicker.

2.  Fasten the 3/4" stock to the 1-1/2" stock.

3.  Select the screw size, that Kreg recommends, for the applicable material thickness.

View the screw guide that Kreg offers.

A screw guide "wheel" chart is also available.
