Hey Mario,

Thanks for the reply/explanation & extra picture. Very cool to see your process for making the fence, but definitely looks a little beyond my skills at the moment. I hope your daughter (or whomever this was for) has many years of fun with this thing!

Joe,

I just added this photo to my project that shows how each piece fits together.

Hi Joe,

The fence was a bit tricky to make.  I wanted to make sure it was beefy enough for kids to lean on and even grab onto and pull on it without breaking.  I'm pleased to say that it is rock solid.  It was extremely time consuming.  I built them in sections by glueing and nailing.  I routed/notched slots in a 3/4" x 1.5" board at the bottom of the railing that secures the 3/4" posts and 1/2" balusters together against the exterior of the garage.

I bought the lights through Amazon:

Hey Mario, I love your garage addon to this dollhouse. I'm working on building the same one for my daughter and am taking inspiration from your modifications. If you wouldn't mind sharing, I have a couple questions for you:

1. Did you make the fence or buy it somewhere? If you made it, how did you make the grooves in the fence posts? Very nice detail!

2. Where did you get the LED lights?

Thanks!

One thing for smaller children you could consider is designing it so it is rotated 90 degrees so the long side is on the floor.  A 3 yr old will not be able to reach the top floor.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
