  • The top screw holder sits on top of the screw box when the lid closes.
  • The liner is typically found in quality boxes. It keeps dust and such from getting into the box.
  • The clamp structure is assembled with dovetails and screwed into the bottom of the case

Hi Marty, you made a very functional case for your Kreg jigs and the video you posted really does it justice. I am going to make one for myself and just have a few questions, might you have a moment or two to clarify the following:

  • What thickness of wood was used for the screw holder compartments?
  • How does the top screw holder compartment sit inside the larger screw holder compartment?
  • What is the purpose of the liner along the sides of the box, which extends a little the height of the sides? (is it to hold the lid more securely?)
  • How is the support structure for the clamps assembled? I see screws in the top but cannot see if they are drilled into the vertical supports on an angle or not, and I wonder if the vertical supports are secured to the base from the underside of the base piece?

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
