Kreg Owners' Community

Hello
i have a problem and I hope to find a solution.
I bought a Kreg Table Lift for my router table and today I got the Bosch MRF23EVS.
I decide to buy this on Amazon because I thought it was good my my Table Lift instead for a few millimeters it does not fit.
The motor pad that comes with the table lift got a 350 number write on, do you know if is there any motor pad that is good with this router?

Stefano,

I was curious as to the diameter of the motor itself.  We do have other motor pads but I want to make sure that they will work for you.  If you could let me know I would be able to better assist you.

The diameter of the motor is exactly 95mm as you can see from the picture. I really hope to not throw my router lift in the garbage.

Stefano,

I'm sorry to inform you that we do not have a clamp pad that will accommodate that size of motor.  The motor pads that we have are the 89mm that came with the lift and then a 105mm and 107mm.  i have heard of some customers sanding down the smaller pads to make them work but they would have to be consistent in order to hold properly.  If you wish you are more than happy to return this product from where you purchased it for a refund.  If you have any other questions please let us know.

That is a very bad news. I could not belive Kreg design this tool with just 3 size. The first very far from the other two; and the last two so close each other.

The pity is that I bought this lift more then one year ago in a Woodworking Show in Toronto and now I cannot ask for any refund. 450$ to the garbage...
Or I could buy the pad for the 105mm and put some masking tape around the motor untill it fit properly! Is it a crazy idea?

Stefano,

The motor pads that we have for our lift does fit the majority of routers on the market.  We designed it to work with the most common routers on the market which is why we went with those three sizes.  My concern with using the tape like you are referring to is that once compressed enough to hold the motor in place it might make the router misaligned and the bit would no longer be perpendicular to the top causing issues.  Usually the best solution is to take down the smaller pads to the size of your router motor.
