I used these from Rockler to lock in place. You can see two sets of holes on each side depending on which side is up. If I really wanted to I could have calculated out where each hole should be so after flipping the hole would be centered over the same threaded insert but didnt really bother to. 

28803 - 1/4-20 THREADED INSERT/8

47428 - CONNECTOR BOLT 2 3/4" BLK 8PK

I had that lathe mounted to the mdf before I came up with the carts so I could move it around easier and store it on a shelf. I experimented with a custom rest but it didnt work out. The t track is left over from that experiment.

Nice job!  What did you do to lock it in place once rotated?  Also, what is the purpose of the T-track under the lathe?

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
