Kreg Owners' Community

Hi,

Great forum...I bough the Kreg router table with a Bosch router.  I'm having trouble with getting the router bit lower.  There is an adjustment on the router that I can access from the top of the table but it only goes down a certain amount.  I need it to go down a little bit further.  Am I doing something wrong?? Or is there a workaround?

Frank,

Unfortunately it appears that your router only has a certain amount of adjustment. You might take it out of the table and see if the limitation is only with using the above table adjustment or if that truly is the full amount of adjustment. If that is the full amount of adjustment, unfortunately we cannot recommend anything without compromising the integrity of your routing.

One option is putting a shim between the router's base and the router table mounting plate. I'm not sure how your lift and router mount, but it would work on mine.
