Hi folks,

Hi I'm Pete and I live on the west coast of Canada on Vancouver Island.  I'm a 42 year old banker that has only completed two simple woodworking projects (one using a k4 jig that I purchased when I saw how easy it made joining pieces).  I use mostly tools that were gifted to me but I think I'm hooked on woodworking.  I'm just a bit overwhelmed with how much I have to learn.

My next project I'd really like to build is a simple (and I mean SIMPLE - keep in mind my beginner status) dresser for my youngest daughter.  She's 4 years old and we're still using the baby change table/dresser for her clothes.  Does anyone have any good plans?  I saw a couple of nice ones here by some users but I really need step by step plans.

I also could use advice on the first tools to upgrade.  I have a small Mastercraft table saw that is quite old and has a really flimsy fence.  I'm thinking this is my top priority to replace but I also have no router or jointer.  Getting a good square on my materials has been pretty challenging so far.

I'm all ears if anyone wants to chime in with some advice.  Oh, and if anyone has some simple dresser plans to share that would be great!

Thanks Kreg for connecting us on here - great idea!

I wrote up something last night and posted...but it's gone.  Seeing that no one else has posted in a while - is there a problem?

Hello everyone my name is Gregory and I live in Goodyear, AZ. I just recently got back into woodworking and now I just took on a big job, building all of the furniture for my backyard. I'm new to the whole pocket hole joint but I love the clean look it gives you by hiding all of the screws. I just purchased the K4 and I'm in love with it. Made a bench, fixed some drawers, chairs working on a new bed and headboard now. Still have to do the furniture I have time.

Some outdoor furniture ideas that I build, very comfortable.
