Do what I do
Go to a store and get pamphlets, in your case vanity units. In the back you usually find line drawings with sizes clearly marked. This I find is clearly a great starting point for any project.

Have you ever seen Ana White's site? Depending on how wide you wanted (and your budget), she has numerous plans. This one looks fairly straightforward. One sheet of plywood and three boards.
