Joseph Joel's Outdoor Raised Planter

Ive built this planter more times than i can count, utilizing different finishes and paints.depending on the client. The design was key in learning how to assess costs and develop an assembly line production flow utilizing the tools i already had. That said, truly not a design to build when time is limited, for me anyway. But from a personal taste side of things, its a favorite.

My favorite finish hands down was the Brown KIWI shoe polish i i used on the last build i did.Shoe polish, who knew it wasnt just for shoes.

I really like the look of your planters. Can you send me a list of the materials that you used. I am looking for something that I can add-on to a set of deck top benches that I am going to build and your planters look like they would be perfect with a few changes.

@ John Blanke - Yes, the very same Kiwi Tin Can! Pictured is the Kiwi brown wax polish applied with a clean rag. Topped it with a spar urethane for protection.

Are you talking about Kiwi paste shoe polish in the can? What color shoe polish do you use and how do you apply it? Beautiful finish!!

Nice looking planters, and, thank you for teaching me something new (the Kiwi shoe polish as a wood finish).
