Kreg Owners' Community

After about the 20th time searching for the thread and wonderful PDF guide that outlines screw length and jig setting guidelines, I decided to put my "day job" skills to work and create a simple web application that compiles the matrix of data from the chart into a handy web-based selection tool.  You can save the page to your phone's home screen, and once it's loaded the first time, you won't need an internet connection to use it.

The app allows you to select the type of joint (edge vs. face), and the widths of both the pocket hole board and base (receiving board).  Of course, all of these settings are suggestions, and as usual, should be tested with scrap material before using with your project material!

Without further ado - here's the link - hope this is helpful, and happy building!

Thanks Jim.  I searched the community for "001 chart" and found the photo and printed it. Looks great. Little blurry but I can read it.  The chart is much more useful I think than the screw chart I have seen. The one in the booklet that came with the tool. Thanks again.

Good work, I hade the same problem and made an excel PDF sheet showing the same we must be doing something right as they both come up with the same sesults screw length wise.

Just search for screw selection guide in discussion forum and a yellow excel comes up

Allan Anderson did some improvements and the reposted it in both PDF and excel format for everybody

Hi, I'm new an sorry if there is  an answer of my question anywhere. I´m from Germany and inch etc. is not so common here :) So in the table (pdf guide): left side at 7/8" and base board thickness 3/8". On this line every setting is 7/8" (like the other lines: what is on the right side=settings Jeg)  only there  is 3/8". Wrong or right?

Thanks
