Ken, thank you for your thoughtfulness.  It was a long drawn out project as it was done as time permitted and in a way it gave me time to think about it as I progressed.  I did not build this from any plan so it's only documentation is by photographs.  Thank you again for the good comments.

Thank you Al,  it was something that I have put a lot of thought into for the past couple years.  I needed a router table that would be big enough and strong enough to handle large routing requirements.  This table top is of the biggest in the industry and when added to a cabinet of which is built heavy makes a nice combination.  Thank you again for your comments of approval.

Thank You Lorrie for the nice comments.  It has been on my wish list for a few years and shopping around I found nothing that would meet what I felt that I needed to continue with the large amount of woodworking that I am doing.  I had the opportunity to build this one and I think I have one of which I can expect to perform up to my expectations  I appreciate your compliments.

Outstanding job with the router table cabinet Jay, I can see that you have put a lot of thought and time into the design, As with all your work Jay this project looks well built really solid, It should serve you well for many years to come. I really like the large top and the huge amount of storage you have built into the router cabinet.  Thanks for taking the time to take photos of your work in progress to share with us. Well done jay.

Hi Jay,

That is a beautifully crafted Router table!!!  It is awesome!!  I'm sure that it is on the wish list of many woodworkers!!!  I know it is on my wish list!!  LOL  You always do such great work and it is nice to see pictures of how you made it.  You certainly made it your own and it is a very big table.  Like you said, it can handle most anything and that is a very nice feature to have.  Fabulous Job!

Hans, Thank you for the nice comments.  Yes a nice heavy table of which you can do your routing on is worth it's weight in gold.  I build a lot of cabinet doors as well as moldings and other small routing projects.  It is nice to use a router table that runs smooth and one you do not have to chase all over the shop because it is to lite.  So to get the weight is is best to build it out of something that is heavy and large enough to do the job.  the addition of a large amount of drawers is another method of not only getting room to store your tooling and making it handy for use but it adds a lot of weight.

The best way to obtain a large router table is to build your own as you can built it to fit your needs and taste.  This one is 52 inches long and 34 inches deep and stands 41 inches off the floor. Big enought to handle anything that I can physically handle.

Thank you again Hans for your thoughtful comments.

Very nice table Jay.
I also belive that heavy is better, to reduce any vibraton.
I'm soon gone start building my own table, with the same router, and looking forward to a simpler and faster
routing compared to a handheld. Inspiring to see your work.
Lots of storing place for accessories in all those nice drawers, and a big sturdy top.
Well done!

Thank you Jim, It was a long project and one of which was actually enjoyable to do.  It takes time to do something like this and especially when you are busy with work that pays and can only work on something like this in the off times.  I am certainly glad that I made it heavy as it helps cut down of vibrations and that will increase the accuracy of the router bit performance.  Thanks again for such  nice comments.
