Hi Glen, Welcome to Kreg, it seems things are a little slow here right now but I am sure it will speed up once winter passes and all the holidays as well.  I am a beginner too but my husband is pretty good at woodworking though.  I like Kreg products, they seem pretty straightforward on use of them.

Hi Glen.  I live in Western Canada and have been retired for over a decade now.  I'm also new to woodworking and have now completed two Kreg projects and have submitted sequential photos of these projects for our Kreg Community.  I'm not a 'speedster', so I take my time and make minor adjustments to suit my personal tastes.  I have found that working with wood is so very relaxing and allows 'creative juices' to flow.  My first project was to make a storage setup for my Kreg 4 Jig.  My second project was to make a simple stand for my circular saw.  For sanding purposes, I use a Rockwell Sonicrafter...it's handy, because I can hold the workpiece in one hand and utilize the Sonicrafter with the other hand, in some instances....it's great for rounding-off corners, as well.  I also have a Rockwell Bladerunner which frees up both hands in order to guide a workpiece.  I don't have a dedicated workshop, so these portable units come in mighty handy.  I have also found that the Kreg screws to be 'the best' and they are not/not expensive.  I hope you enjoy your new hobby.

A few of my early projects, mostly reclaimed wood. These were pryor to my kreg jig purchase, but after watching some videos, I went right out and purchased one. I will be using the jignon my night stands to match the headboard
