Kreg Owners' Community

Hi everyone. I thought it would be a good idea to see more photos of everyone's shops. Most of us enjoy seeing other peoples' setups. Whether you work in a car port, a garage, a shed, or a loft--the more unusual, the better. We all come up with interesting solutions for storage, lighting, dust extraction, shop lay out, etc. Let's share those novel ideas. Does anyone decorate their shop for Christmas? Personally, I decorate my fridge shelves with Guinness. That's essential, right?

Hi Mick, yes it would be nice to see some more pics. of other shops , it would give other members some Ideas  on set up , storage and tools !!!  As this is where the projects are built  and Ides come true in a great build , JIM !!

I think that would be a great idea, Mick. I am still working on mine as you can tell by some of my pics of late. I haven't started on the lighting yet but, I do get natural light by my six clearstory windows and warm sunshine in the winter by the sun's rays shining down thru them.  I do have an extension cord to help with lighting and running my tools and the heater. Next year hopefully that will change for the better; I am doing cabinets right now and then I could start on finishing up the office area I will be having so I could do woodburning and embossing metal. I haven't decided on decorating the shop for seasons as of yet. Thanks for the discussion. Leslee

Look forward to see your shop in all it's glory Leslee  keep those projects coming ,Mick.

Well Michael I am still In the process of building additional shop features and adding more equipment. I am fortunate to have a new Kreg pocket hole machine of which I am building a dedicated bench space for it.  I have used it and find that it is a great time saving tool but I have to store it on a bench somewhere other where it is convenient.

I have plans of building a big bench that will go across the front of the shop that will be dedicated to the Kreg pocket hole machine and the big 12 inch slide saw.  I have an over arm pin router that also needs a convent location  and need to extend my dust collection system.  I am in the process of building a large router table that I hope to have in operation in the next week or so.

Thank you Michael, storage is always a problem no matter how big the shop is, you seem to run out of room and or have a problem finding items that you have placed somewhere.  This keeps the tools close at hand and allows you to completely fill a drawer up.   You are also welcome to drop by and work some too, coffee is always hot and you might find a donut or two.
