Jay, this box that you made is also a very nice piece of work!!

Thank you for your nice compliment on mine, it says a lot when a good craftsman like your self compliments another's work...

Thanks David,  It is a fun way to build something for the shop, home or as a give and at the very least you get to use up some scrap wood.

Ken making a casket is something that I do not want to do.  Seen too many of them and want to stay away from them.

Comment by Ken Darga on September 6, 2014 at 6:56pm

Re Caskets, they could be made from reclaimed lumber material, such as old pallets.

For those who may ask for plans---

yes, plans are available.

Jay,

All those boxes--- reminds me of a friend, who designed and built wooden caskets.

Most were all hand crafted.  Some with beautiful inlays, and the like.

People were dying to get in them.

Ken that is the problem too many things to store and they could fit into the appropriate sized box I doubt that you could  make enough.

Comment by Ken Darga on September 6, 2014 at 11:48am

Jay,

Looks like a handy box I could store my hand planes, and

another for my chisels, and

another for my air nailers, and

another for my drills & drivers, and

another for my measuring tools, and

another for my hand saws, and

one for screws

another for nails, and

...

the list could go on-n-on.

AND, of course,

Kreg Pocket Hole Jig and accessories, and equipped with casters.

Thank you Ken,  It is a useful box and easy to build and easy on the budget.   I think it is a great project for people who are interested in crafts. It can be made in a variety of sizes and done with out  the moldings.  Thanks again

Jay,

That's a neat looking storage box.  Attractive details.
