Thanks Leslee,  I will check them out.  Just starting out with the router so it will be a process of bit collection.   I use online tools a lot as a learning curve.

Thanks for your input, Leslee.  I will check, but at our location our county doesn't require building permits, although they are quick to put an evaluation on our property tax!

Our plan is to purchase a building that comes with the metal all cut and all the hardware, overhead door, walk out door and window included.  We would like an overhang of the roof on one side to cover a porch area.  We will hire one experienced carpenter who has put up a couple of barns for us.  I am lucky in this, my husband, son, and neighbor are going to help the carpenter to keep costs at a minimum.  I am buying 6 inch insulation from my brother, who overbought for his shop.  That is all I have done for sure.  Are you putting up a building for a wood shop?  Did you have plans to install a dust collection system?  There are so many things to consider, I am a bit overwhelmed.  I am thankful for the carpenter we have, but he is open to new ideas too.

I hope your disability allows you to get your building up  and functioning soon.  It would be nice to have an area to work in this cold weather!

Have a great week, Kimbra

Thanks Leslee for all of the Information.  I will be checking out both of the websites.  I'm not ready to build one just yet, but I'm always looking to get ideas.  I will check out the information on the height for sure.  I am 5'7 and don't usually have too much trouble with the height of the tables.  This will definitely help me with making a decision.    Lorrie

Thanks for the tip on train items at Rockler.com. Not only are the buildings of interest to me, but I found the router bits for building the tracks to be something I was in the market for. Greatly appreciate it Leslee! :)

I do enjoy what I have built from scratch and as far as licorice I have it  there on account I have two neighbor girls that come over and ask for some scrap wood so I tell them they have to sweep floor for the wood and then they take a few red ropes.

Leslee, thank you and remember I am always willing to share any of my knowledge at any time.  I'm serious about falling and stopping, I know I have had the experience many times, It does hurt.  For safety, It's like this if you are ever on a roof make sure you have a air hose or a extension cordand  hang onto it,  as they are sure to get caught on something before you hit the ground.  Seriously always work safe.    Enjoy you construction day.

Leslee, hope things work out and you recover from the loss quickly.  Thank you for the comment on the dresser.  I hope to finish it soon just too many other things that are first in line.   I only get to work on it some in the evenings if I am not too tired from the early to work and late to get home.   Been home some this past week and so far some this week and have finished the chest part doing some bead work on the front of the chest.  Stated the mirror frame and hope to finish it maybe this weekend but I have to wait and see.

Leslee, thank you for the nice comment.  I will try to finish the kitchen soon as there is a few things to do yet like a custom 12 inch high crown molding, some trim around the windows and a microwave cabinet.  Then there is the little trim pieces that need to be added. Right now I'm working on the bathroom cabinet part of the job but will arrive as the end one of these days.  Thank again.
