Joseph, almost all of the cabinet is of a knotty pine. There is a the sides of the drawer boxes and the very bottom of the cabinet that is not pine. The drawer box sides are of baltic 9 ply 1/2 inch baltic birch and the bottom of the cabinet is a 3/4 inch birch. The pine is what we call "pecky pine" out here getting its name for the small specks of knots found through out the pine. The horse heads are hand painted using a porceline paint that is then baked in an oven and becomes almost a permanet peice of the glass. It was lots of fun building and I built it for a customer as you probably guessed have horses. Thanks for your interest. jay
Hey Joesph, like I said I'm very busy with my daughter and getting the company going at the same time. From what I've read it sounds like you have a combo swich, plug on the wall and a light I guess on the celling,is this correct? Now I also noticed that you live in Texas, and I'm not sure if the codes are the same as in Ontario Canada. Now I've never seen a medacine cabinet with a plug on it.I suggest that you buy a strip light to go on top of the cabint on the wall, and the extra plug on the wall beside the cabinet. If you want it this way let me know. You can fish the wire if your bath is under the atic.If not you need to make some holes and patch them up.Let me know which way exactly.Joe
Hi again, no, I built as I went along looking at pics I took of the original one. I'll create a list of material (if I can remember it all) and send it to you.
If your asking about the closet organizer, no, I probably won't start that until the winter. I'm trying to get ready for winter and finish up what needs to be done around the house. By doing that I'll have more time to work on wood projects in the winter. I also make pens and wine bottle tops, some wood jewlery, fishing jigs etc. I do a couple of shows this time a year also, so I stay busy.
I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
