There's a Kreg video, or instruction sheet, that describes how to join miter joints, using the Kreg joinery methods.

Key in this video that was mentioned, but not emphasized, is the width of the boards needs to be a minimum of 3".  You can go some narrower with the micro jig but if you want to get down to 1-1/2 or so, you are stuck with one screw and it will twist on you. DAHIKT.

If a frame is of a narrow size and it will only accommodate one screw,

supplement it with a biscuit or dowel.

HI Ken - on a narrow frame like that, I just bisquit it or spline it and forget the screw. I'm starting to use half-lap miters on all of them anyway.

charles this is what good clean jiont looks like and I well take some pic's on haw to set up your mimi kreg for a 45% as soon asI get a drasser done.

Charles, there are many methods of doing miter angles depending on the project at hand.  All the members whom have replied to your post all have good sound advise.  I have posted on my page a detailed method of using the kreg jig to form different angles in wood miters that you might like to look at.  Some of the information  might  give you some ideas.  It solves all my problems with angles in cabinet and furniture building .  The information  is on the left side of my page and is called "turning corners in cabinets with angles".
