Hi everyone! My name is Kathya--yes, there's an a at the end of my name! :)
I first discovered the Keg Jig on Ana-white.com's website. After watching that talented young woman build beautiful pieces of furniture, I decided if she can do that so can I! So I told my husband about the Kreg Jig System and he agreed we should purchase it. We built our first workbench on Sunday last week and it turned out great!

I really would like to build a waist high garden table but don't have any plans. Does anyone know where I can find some simple plans for free? I think I can build it with little instruction, but it would be nice to have something to review while building. Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to the community folks!

Katha, could you describe what this garden table will be doing? What I'm picturing and what you have in mind could be worlds apart.

Katha,

Welcome to the group, I saw your photograph of your work bench and It is pretty nice for your first build. It shows that you have the skills and talent with a desire to acheive in woodworking.

I also read that you are interested in a plan for a garden table.  Depending on what you are wanting to use the table for will depend on what type to build.  If it is a potting table or a table to display plants on the bench you just finished would serve as the basic structure.  By adding on or altering it you can build yourself a nice garden bench suited to fit what you are wanting.

My neighbor just build a patio table to display some of his plants and flower pots on and got the plan from Sunset Magazine.  My wife is interested in building one as well so I looked on line in the DIY sites and found this one which is from Sunset magazine.  The link is:

My wife is interested in the third pictured one which is labeld as "Backyard center"  the plans are in a PDF format and are pretty detailed.  The down load is free.  In looking at this plan you will note that the basic is like the bench you have.  There is another one numbered 5 photo " Mobile table"  of which is pretty nice aswell and has a detail plan that you can use.
Again welcome to the Kreg Jig Community and best wishes for many exciting projects.

Hello and welcome to all the new members that have joined the Kreg community.

Hi Everyone!

My name is AJ and I am now a proud owner of the Kreg Jig. I don't have that much experience with woodworking (read: none at all), but I recently renovated my basement and got the DIY bug. A friend of mine suggested that I look at this as a way to introduce myself and now I can't see myself using any other method. Hopefully I will have some completed projects that I can share with everyone soon. The ones on this site have certainly inspired me - quite fantastic!
