Okay......Im guessing that Kreg wouldnt come out with one of these BUT.....does anyone think that someone could make a torsion box with a Kreg Jig.  I saw a work bench that really interests me and its made with a torsion box core.  Take a look at this (then come back to here):

I like the use of pipe clamps and its ease of versitility.  Basically the whole table can be made into a clamp.  Here's the kicker though........in a torsion box, how could i accurately make the holes in the box so they line up correctly??  My first thought: create a grid system using 3/4" stock which has cut groves that interlock into each other.  Once the groves were cut to overlay into a torsion box like configuration (correctly), then break it down and drill uniform holes, pocket holes for re-assembly and put it back together again.  By prepairing the holes in a uniform configuration should make it possible to place both pipe clamps through the bench AND use the Kreg Jig to keep it on the straight and level.  I dont currently have the time to make this but it could happen this summer.

My workspace is extremely multi-use......with the exception of parking my wifes car......its made to get rained on without getting ruined.......just say'n.

I saw something like this ona wood show but instead of round holes we cut rectangular holeson both sides plus ends. He uses the bottom of workbench for tool storage in conjunction with job he was working on plus clamps

I've seen the ultimate workbench videos and i'll admit...i'm impressed.......  I'm not sure exactly which i'd build though.  I like the versitility of both.  The Blum has a smaller foot print BUT the "UWB" can be broken down into half if needed.......  i'm building a vanity right now for my downstairs bathroom and plan to make 2 more for the upstairs but i'm currently doing the project on saw horses and a hard wood door.  Its not precisely flat i'm sure but its close.  That and the door becomes a catch all for tools.  I'm thinking the UWB may be what I need....but the Blum is closer to what i want; does that make sense????  I may buy the plans for UWB, study them and go from there.  I wish i could see both in person though because that always helps.

I am thinking about building ultimate workbench myself. I work out in my carport and it would work for me. He now sells the plans.

I may as well it appears easier to build..

I found reliable guideline for multipurpose workbench when shopping around for a right kind of workbench for you.considering all the important aspects associated with the top products in the most popular online market place in the globe today.
