Hello Rod
I just wanted to mention that I have a build thread going at T&TTT if you are interested. Just search for Okanagan build.

I was moving along nicely until we decided to put in a fireplace... Now I am working on that instead.

Hello Onno,

Sorry to take so long to respond.  When you build the floor frame is when you determin the over-all size of your build.  My build took about a year to complete once I had the design organized in my mind and then I built on a shoestring.   Thank you for the kind words and I hope that you have as much fun as I have had in my build...or is it madness...non the less have fun!

Hello Rod

Nice job on the weekender. I have been a lurker on the TTTT forum for a while. Do you have a build thread over there? I am planning on building a tear this winter with Steve's build manual. The Harbor Freight frame you used was originally the 4x8 size? How easy was it to modify to 5x10? And of course the obvious question, did it only take a weekend to build?

I first found out about teardrop trailers from this forum, I had no idea until someone posted pics of their tear built with pocket holes... Now I am anxious to finalize a plan so I can build our own.

Hi Steven, There are many sets of plans at www.mikenchell.com although I made many modifications to

The Weekender plans.   I went with this style because it goes with my tow vehicle...Pontiac Aztek.

Once you go there you will get "HOOKED"!

Roy, the frame came from Harbor Freight 4x8 1159lb capable.  I expanded my camper to a 5x 10.

I needed the extra space to carry a queen size mattress inside.

Love to talk about the build.
