I used the Kreg jig to make the fixed bottom, middle and top. I built 4 separate boxes and face-nailed the trim. I was able to pull the baseboard, crown molding and corner round from the original wall and it fit like a charm.

Nice work. Thanks for showing it. I have a need for a smaller bookcase at the top of some back stairs. It will be on carpet. Imagine I could not go the built in route as an option but if I chose to go built in do you see any issues with it being on carpet? Thanks.

I'm going to modify your project alittle,, hope you don't mind...  Been planning to move the kitchen pantry into the side room... So the cabinets will be your design with a doorway walkthrough in the middle..  The cabinet / pantry will be on either side...  Will be about 12 inchs deep and floor to ceiling with crown moulding at top for the built in touch..  Face frame panel doors will be halve the width of the cabinets and approx halve the height...  Two per cabinet..    Will use MDF for the boxes of the cabinets with wood shelving... Wife wants to paint , I wanted the wood grain look,,  so paint it will be...  The shelves will be adjustable with pins...

Should work...  Have had this basic idea in my head for a while now...  Was surprized to see it built..  When I get it done will post a picture ...

Thank you

Gary

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
