Thanks Danny.  I just got the chance to look at the additional pictures.

 

I'm going to "borrow" your idea and make 2 of these for outdoors.  My granite slabs will only be about 12" square.

"the top is a drop in 3/4 in and sitting on 3 slates and the corners are rounded on the granite if that don't help let me know and I will take a photo of top out so you can see"

Nice table, it's very similar in design to a kitchen island I'm building for the wife.  What are the dimensions?  My top is 47.5" x 28.5", but it's wood, not granite.  Also, I'm using cedar 4x4's for the legs.  I'll post a pic when it's done, but it'll probably be at least a month until I have time to finish it.

Nice table Danny!  How did you attach the top and allow for drainage?  I really would like to build one similar!!!

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
