Portable Miter Saw Stand

I was getting tired of setting-up my miter saw on tables, the deck, or basically any available surface, and then try jimmy-rig something to support the long pieces. Well, I did some looking around on the internet and came across this design for a portable miter saw stand. The design was simple, an X-folding frame base with wing supports on either side. I used door hinges for the X-base and to join the wings to the base. Just put a half of the door hing on either part and the pin joins them. I designed the base to be 3 ft tall, so that I am not hunched over and it is ergonomic. All the materials for this project (besides some kreg screws) were all recycled. In fact the base and supports were part of wheel chair ramp connected to the deck in the photo. Overall, I am very happy with the way it all worked and use this all the time. The best part is if it is about to rain, I can take this apart in about 10 minutes for storage. Lamar from thisiscarpentry.com deserves most of the credit.
