Right now my outfeed table is a metal frame with a mdf formica 4x7 top. I would really like to take advantage of the wasted space underneath. I was going to build some cabinets with casters and do away with the metal frame. It will probably be mostly drawers for power tools, if I use 3/4 mdf do I put pocket holes on both sides. How many casters should I use on a 4x7 base?  Thanks Michael

Michail,

Four 4" wheel Heavy-Duty locking swivel casters, located near the outermost corners, will suffice.

Make the base frame from 2x4 stock, with stretchers spaced 16" running the 4ft direction.

Caster wheels of a material that is suited for concrete.

Swivel casters will permit moveability.

Locking type will prevent movement.

Top wheels locks are better than the side side-lever locks.

Select casters that lock both in the swivel and rotation direction.

Peruse the HD casters offered by Rockler.
