hello everyone.

K5, for several reasons.
1. Holding clamp is accessible from the working side of the jig. This isn't a big deal with smaller or narrow work pieces, but with larger work pieces, reaching around to activate the clamp becomes a bit of a nuisance.
2. Vacuum port on the K5 appears to swivel. The port on the K4 Master system is fixed to the left side. BTW, the vacuum port (with vacuum applied) does help pull the wood in tight to the jig and helps keep chips clear. This will help ensure the work piece is flush against the jig.
3. The "extension wings" on the K5 help keep the work piece, especially wider pieces, square to the jig and provide storage for bits and drivers.
I have the K4, also and I love it. I agree that it is one of the best jigs I have, and it surely is the most used. I find it hard to believe that I've only had it 4-5 months and have been through a box of 500 1-1/4" screws already, and I'm well into the 2nd box.
I have joined some 24" x 30" 3/4 ply to make my work bench. That is where I wished I had the K5.
If you order the K4 from the Kreg site there is an option to put the holding clamp handle on the working side (free upgrade) instead of the rear, at least this was the case in January when I ordered mine.
I just looked it up and am not seeing the same option, but the website for the K4 Master system with plans, case, and square cut for $99 can be found by going to Kregjoint.com It is the website from the infomercial that is $50 cheaper than if you went to the regular site. Once you get into the checkout you have the option to "free upgrade" to move the handle to the working side. You also have the option to order add ons (screws / clamps) as you progress through the cart.
Hope this helps.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
