Any websites or pictures would be appreciated.

Hi Scott, sounds like an intriguing venture with a lot to take into consideration such as how are you going to use the van and what do you want to place into the van.  I have build a couple van conversions before making them suitable as a construction vehicle that carries tools as well as products such as lumber and supplies. The total conversion will require careful consideration as to answering the big question of what is your intentions on use of the van.  Do you want only lower cabinets and or upper cabinets. To answer this is if you wish to have a bench top inside of the van will require you to build a two piece cabinet system.  If not then the better method is to build a cabinet that runs from the floor to the ceiling of the van.  This allows you to attach the cabinets in a stable secure method by attaching to the floor and the ceiling as well as the sides of the van using any body rails in the van construction.   The use if 3/4 inch thick plywood is the best material to use as it will give you a strong and long lasting construction.

Next of importance is the debt of construction as well as do you want the cabinet storage to be on one or both sides of the van considering how much room do you wish to leave in the center for access to the cabinets and also the amount of the room do you want to keep free for hauling materials.

Like I stated the manner of construction is going to depend on what are your intentions as to how you are going to use the van.

One of the better You Tube videos that pertain to the building cabinets in a van or cargo trailer is a gentleman named Ron Paulk..  Here is a link that will give you some details to start your planning stages.   https://youtu.be/iuhDERZbBeY?list=PLFq6nbLXodfifI5JLCNJdKDQ-tizR-XaD     This link will give you access to much information of which I think will be of interest  to you as well as aiding you on planning your system.  Many of the ideas are planned around a cargo trailer but can be altered to suit a van build.

Good luck and happy building.   Take your time as you need a safe vehicle in which to work in remembering that everything in the van becomes a dangerous item once in motion.   I suggest a screened cage between the drivers and passengers seat.  Most states have legal requirements for such vehicles and most require a cage or screened area for the driver and passengers.  If I can be of any help to you please let me know.
