Kreg Owners' Community

Last week I noticed that my Kreg router fence is tilted, that is, it is not at a 90-degree angle to the table. It is pitched back from the front of the table. To be clear, I mean the top of fence is further away from the front of the table due to the pitch. (It is not a problem with the length of the fence.)

If you know this fence, you know there is a rail on the side of the table and sled that goes along the rail. There is a part called the "fence-mount" screwed to the sled, and it connects to the fence with two screws. When I tighten those screws, even just a little, the fence tilts back.

I tried taking everything off and adjusting already.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Kevin. Perhaps you are missing an important step and/or part(s) of your fence may be defective. Please get in touch with the Kreg Customer Service Team; they will be happy to talk through the issue with you, and send out any replacements that may be needed to get your fence functioning properly. You may reach them by phone at 800-447-8638, by email at customerservice@kregtool.com, or through our website: https://www.kregtool.com/customer-service/contact-us.aspx. Thanks!

Hi Kevin , I am sure you followed the instructions to a tee  !!  I do not own a Kreg router table , but do own a lot of Kreg tools !!!   You are better off to just call the 800 # and ask for a tec service  person , a lot faster and better info. , they do help you out a lot better !!  The info. has not been the best lately  on the site  , because they just tell you to call service , that is just my opinion , hope you get your problem fixed  JIM !!

I did call - the rep was understanding but it is difficult to troubleshoot something like this over the phone. He is sending me a new fence mount. I don't think this is the problem but you have to start somewhere.  I was hoping someone had perhaps had this issue and knew of a resolution.

I re-installed everything except for the bracket that attaches to the table. I am confident I did not miss a step and that each step was properly executed.

Hi Kevin. Glad to hear to were able to get in touch with a Customer Service Rep. If, after installing your new fence mount, problems persist, please get back in touch with Kreg Customer Service at 800-447-8638. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. The bottom line is that we want to get your fence problem resolved, Kevin. We're always happy to answer your questions here on the Community when we can. Sometimes, though, the fastest way to get to the heart of the problem is to put you on the phone with our talented staff of Customer Service experts. Rather than trading posts, they can talk with you and hear firsthand what problem you are having. Troubleshooting can be difficult by phone, of course, but they can work to get you parts, talk through setup, replace the product, or whatever is necessary to resolve your issue. We refer people to Customer Service because, though I'm an experienced woodworker and DIYer, and I'm very familiar with our products, they work with customers every day and are great at helping you on your journey, and with solving any issues should they arise.
