Hi All,
I have a question regarding the jig setting and screw size for thick stock that falls outside the settings chart. I am making a frame from 44x44mm (1.73") pine stock and would appreciate any info about what jig setting and screws should be used.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Adrian,
We recommend using Kreg Jig HD (Heavy-Duty) Pocket-Hole Screws with stock that is 1.5"-thick and thicker. You can view them on our website: https://www.kregtool.com/store/c22/kreg-jigreg-accessories/p218/kre.... They are available in packages of 30 and 125.
Also, do you have a Kreg Jig HD that you plan to use with your 1.73"-thick pine stock? The Kreg Jig HD (Heavy-Duty) is designed for use with materials 1.5"-thick and thicker, and works best with the screws mentioned above.
Please reply directly to this thread if you have any further questions.
Thanks!

Thank you for the response.
I have the K3MS and used the jig at it's largest size (1 1/2") and some 60mm (2 3/8") screws which I had laying around. It was quite awkward working with such large pieces, especially considering that I don't have the Kreg right-angle clamp (that will be my next investment!). I'm not wild about the result so I think my best bet is to use thinner, more manageable stock in future plus, of course, the right-angle clamp.
Much obliged to you.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
