Got the Shop Fox setup with help from my 9 year old son in 45 minutes. * Note: a 220v plug is not included so if you decide to buy, you need to purchase one*.  I moved up from a HF Dust Collector with 15 feet of piping and a trash can separater before the collector.  I can't measure the CFM of the HF, but I can tell you that this Dust Collector outperforms hands-down.  The Collector was $360.00 with free shipping from Amazon, I chose this over Grizzly only due to the fact of $80 to ship and $55 for a lift gate if one was needed.  There have been negative reviews due to setup/instruction ease etc., but the holes in the base lineup with the holes in the motor mounts etc., it's pretty straight forward and who really reads the manuals anyway??  Anyway, a great Dust Collector for the price and for the power!  I am completely pleased with everything about it.

I was amazed at how much more powerful the shop fox was over the Harbor Freight, but again, I had to run wire for 220v and then went ahead and put a subpanel in the shop at the same time.  It always leads to more spending!

Nice.  I am currently using the 1 hp HF collector wall mounted.  It does alright in my tiny shop, but there's always room for improvement that's for sure.  I too find many of my best buys on Amazon.

You'll find that having a good dust collection system will make a big difference in the environment inside the shop. You will spend less time cleaning and more doing projects. Congrats and keep building. Larry D.
