Looking to buy a router table.

Problem is are there any good sub $300 tables?

I had been looking at the skill tables at Lowes.

It appears craftsman has same tables with their name on sale now.

I have the $139 skil router table. I got it last december since I had a skil router. I do have some complaints... First, It is not easy to make fine adjustments at all. Second, the table is not large enough for what I have been using it for. You get what you pay for as usual. It is what it is. But for now it works for me.
If I continue to use it as much as I have I may look at saving up for something more substantial. (Need bench clamps and miter saw first) If you have $300 to spend, pass on the skil tables at lowes.

Rockler has a "build your own" router table feature on its web site. This one shown here is $299.00

In case you weren't aware, we offer a benchtop version of our Precision Router Table which fits within your cost requirements.

Whether it’s being thrown into the back of a pickup truck on the way to the jobsite or used to save space in a small woodshop, the Precision Benchtop Router Table is the rugged and mobile solution to true precision routing. For the very first time having portability doesn’t mean giving up the precision and features of a full-sized router table.

Rugged Table Top
The table top is made from a professionally edgebanded, vibration and noise resistant MDF which features an Easy-Slide™ Micro-Dot skin – constructed from a high-pressure laminate – which makes it easy to slide workpieces across the surface.

Precise Insert Plate
Made from an incredibly durable phenolic, this standard sized insert plate (9-1/4” x 11-3/4” x 3/8”) has been designed to mount to any router without the usual ‘swiss-cheese’ type surface found on most router table insert plates. Utilizing your router’s base plate and the easy to use template (included), mounting the insert plate to almost any router leaves you with a perfect custom fit and without all of the extra holes you don’t need!

Quiet Routing
During development, we found that the majority of noise produced from popular benchtop router tables was caused by vibrations traveling throughout the body of the table itself, and that much of this could be stifled with the correct use of materials and design. By combining the vibration and noise resistant MDF in the table top, with the rigid steel base and vibration dampening rubber feet, we were able to produce a table that was both extremely well suited for job-site use, and was also incredibly quiet. The Precision Benchtop Router Table actually tests quieter than most enclosed router tables.

Built for Moble Professionals
This table was built to withstand years of use and abuse on the jobsite. It features a rugged stamped-steel foundation, four hard-wearing rubber feet, a professionally edgebanded table-top with an impact resistant Micro-dot surface, and an incredibly rigid aluminum fence, all built with mobile professionals in mind.

Specifications
Insert Plate Dimensions: 9-1/4” x 11-3/4” x 3/8”
Insert Plate Material: Phenolic
Table Surface Dimensions: 16” x 24”
Fence Material: Aircraft Grade Anodized Aluminum
Overall Dimensions: 20” x 28-1/4” x 20-1/4”
Overall Product Weight: 26 lbs.

Everytime I'm in Woodcraft, I have to go drool on the fullsize Kreg router table. I'm disabled on a fixed income, maybe someday I'll win the lottery and get one. I've looked at the rockler tables, and just about every table set out there, and no, I don't work for Kreg. However they have the best full size table set on the market in my opinion.

If you have a shop and are not going to move stuff around..check out bench dog the cast iron table that bolts to you table saw. It is a bit pricey, but I have no complaints since I bought mine. I mounted it on a Ridged contractors saw and it is great!

Gosh for 300 large ones you could build your own and have all bells and whistles I would think. I built mine but for got the whistles .Just a fence . The table is 16 x 18 I think.Plenty big for my needs.I have seen Rocklers and they are impressive and L owes dont have Kreg router tables and they are only place that carries the line I think.Never go to HD they are out of way for me

i've been using a WolfCraft from Canadian tire ($69 on sale). For that money, not bad but wouldn't pay much more. Couldn't ask for a better table and legs. The ring collers sit just under proud and it just bugs me being a Millwright. I get accused of measuring wood in thous. Large table works for me. Mounted a Porter Cable under it. Seriously though, to make it just about perfect for this money, i am going to add a percision Kreg insert with levelers. That should keep it well under 300.
