I'm looking to identify fellow Kreg users in Ireland who might be interested in getting together to share skills and plans.

Tim,
Sorry for the delay in replying. Very busy at present making and installing raised garden beds which I make with my Kreg jig. I purchased a very good book in the States by Danny Proulx - "The pocket hole drilling project book". It's probably available on Amazon. The ISBN is 13:978-1-55870-687-3. I also have one Kreg DVD, however, it was very disappointing - very amatuerish in its delivery. I find the short clips on the Kreg site to be more useful. Have you started working on any projects?

Got the jig from Frank Clarks-bought a right angle clamp there today as well as a jig saw so things are coming together a bit-think stuff is much cheaper in the states-must write out a list for when my friend goes!! did you buy any of the kreg books or dvds?

Tim,
I have been working exclusively in softwood and MDF so far as they suit my current needs. I purchase both from Brooks who have store in Balbriggan. They see to charge up to 50% less on some timber items when compared to the large hardware stores. Did you get you Jig in McQuillans in Cork? I use their Capel Street store in Dublin and find them very helpful. I purchased some extra Kreg tools - clamps etc. from Rockler (rockler.com) (hardware heaven) when I was over in the States last year. I reckon that when my woodworking skills match my quality tools I finally have arrived.

Hi Tim,
Tim, good to hear from you.If you are ever up my way, Balbriggan, North Co Dublin, give me shout and I will show you my set up. I bought my jig two years ago when setting up my workshop and have made great use of it. I made all my work benches with the jig and have now moved on to making raised garden beds for personal use and for sale. I bought a Festool router, mitre saw, jig saw and dust extraction unit. They are well worth the investment.
