I think im with you Glenn. Cutting is not a problem for me. I just place the moulding on the fence and use small clamps if i need to to hold the molding up against the fence. Sometimes its a pain to cope though, Im still not sold on this yet. Maybe a video demonstration would persuade me.

I don't see the advantage in using this jig, I have always cut crown upside down laying it just as you have show in the above pictures with the exception of not having to place a block under it. I still like to cope it though, that way I can cut it a 1/16 of an inch long for a nice tight fit that will never open, and I don't have to worry about the angle being off by a couple of degrees. Just saying.

Oh my! Both my "wants list" and my "to do list" just got longer! I have been wrestling with wanting to replace our molding but am not ready to try to master another skill. I am thinking that with this tool my husband and I could easily add value to our home without spening so much time learning all the "trade secrets"!

I've been putting off the crown molding part of my whole house restoration.remodel after our big flood. Tired of wasting materials. I'm going to be all over this! Come on March 1!

Will this product aid in coping the ends of the cuts, or wiil it just aid in cutting the mitres against the fence of the saw as it appears?

Yes, this looks like a great tool and at a good price. Crown Molding I find a real challange becasue I just don't do it often.

I don't do much in the way of crown molding installation. I do remember the frustration I experienced the last time I had to do anything with compound miters. I would be interested if this jig would be adaptable to making picture frame trim using moldings. Price is a big factor unless you do a lot of crown molding installation. If that be the fact and the price is right, you may have a winner.
