I got my Kreg Jr for Christmas from my wife. There are some pieces of furniture that she is wanting me to build.

In the latest Family Handyman Magazine there is a closet storage solution that we really liked.

Our master closet has basic shelves and rods in it currently. We would like to make better use of the closet space.

The master closet is 10' by 11' .

here is my modified version of the closet storage system.

the wall this goes on is 6' 7" tall,

and here is a view of the other side. The tall wall is 11'

I was planning on building this all from 3/4 Plywood. If anyone has suggestions for type and grade that would be helpful. I am beginner at furniture construction and wood finishing.

Well I have my cut sheets made. Hopefully I will be buying material this weekend and getting started.

I am planning on doing this project in stages of 2 walls at a time.

Thanks for the comments and encouragement everyone.

Thanks for providing those links, Jenny! Very helpful... and clearly David has a ton of great projects to share! I really love all of these closet organizer projects. I guess we all need a bit more storage in our homes!

David, that is really nice.

Here is a link to David's oak ply closet organizer, and a link to his modified IKEA version which is really clever.

check out my pic of my closet project. i used oak ply and maple 1'''x2'' edge banding. it's not as big and spacious as the one you are planning but it turned out nice.

Chuck - With edge banding, the birch should look great. I find each Home Depot and Lowes gets a different supply of lumber (we are lucky enough to have several of each nearby). I have had the best luck finding birch ply at big Home Depots.

Or there is always oak ply, depending on what you want the final look to be.

Very anxious to see this project become a reality. Please make sure you post the progress as it is made! How cool!

yeah the drawing is done it sketch up. I really like sketch up because its easy and fast to make good 3d plans.

I was going to use a iron on veneer for the edge or maybe edge band with 1x1.
